Dear Sirs and Madams,
The Medical University of Lodz has three clinical hospitals within its structure:
- Central Clinical Hospital (CKD, pediatric hospital at Sporna St., psychiatry at Czechosłowacka St., Institute of Dentistry)
- Norbert Barlicki University Clinical Hospital No. 1
- University Clinical Hospital WAM – Central Veterans Hospital (hospital at Żeromskiego St., hospital at Plac Hallera, “Na Stokach” hospital at Pieniny St.)
These hospitals help thousands of patients from Łódź and the region every day. They still want to do it effectively and safely, but in the current epidemiological situation it is very difficult. The needs of hospitals are increasing daily and the financial possibilities are very limited. Above all, there is a lack of specialized equipment (biodecontamination equipment, respirators) and personal protective equipment (masks, goggles, overalls, gloves). Our doctors, nurses, paramedics and support staff are at the forefront of the fight for the health and lives of patients, and now this fight is taking place in extremely stressful and difficult conditions. If you would like to support them in these activities and show solidarity, we would like to ask you for that.
